Sudanese Foreign Minister, Professor Ibrahim Ghandour visited Budapest at the end of October to meet with the Hungarian State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Péter Szijjártó.
The purpose of the meeting at the 30-31st of October was to tighten the economical and technological cooperation between the two countries. The delegation of Sudan with Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour Foreign Minister, the Chief of Cabinet, Mr. Fadoul Mohamed Fadoult, as well as Mr. Khalied Musa Dafallat and Mrs. Sahar Mohamed Ishag from the Office of European Affairs were greeted by the Hungarian delegation and the Sudanese diplomat delegation accredited in Hungary.
The delegation had tight schedule, on the other hand over the programs in the Parliament there was a short time for sightseeing and visiting the Sudanese Foreign Offices. The Head of the Sudan Trade Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Sudan in Budapest, Mr. Mohamed Salaheldin Hag Ali welcomed the delegation at his sub-office in the Buda Castle district in the compelling historical part of the city. There was the opportunity to take report with the Minister for the Hungarian and foreign TV channels to introduce Sudanese-Hungarian business successes, in which has a huge role of the Hungarian Diplomatic Regional Trade House in Khartoum.
In behalf of the fruitful cooperation the Sudanese and the Hungarian party have had several negotiations before the Foreign Minister’s visit, at the general assemblies of the UN in New York. The result of the meetings is the current visit in October where a bilateral international contract was signed by the two countries under the terms of founding a Sudanese-Hungarian Economical Joint Committee, framing the common purposes.
